Fall 2014 Issue Featuring a Cover Story on:
Sharon Lee Farabaugh, Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists, Thornton, Colorado
This is an amazing story about how a graduate from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in bio-chemistry went on to work in the Quality Control Departments first of Miller Brewing Company and then the Coors Brewing Company before becoming a certified public accountant and launching an accounting career in Colorado. Upon retirement she and her golfing husband bought a winter home in Surprise, Arizona and there she was introduced to painting. Taking classes at the Denver Art Students League and competing widely, Farabaugh excelled, especially in scenes involving water. Southwest Art selected her as an “Artist to Watch” and she became a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists and appeared on the cover of the Society’s 16th National Exhibition Catalog. Most recently, Farabaugh appeared in a cover story in the Fine Art Connoisseur magazine.
